Demand continues to grow for Science East’s building and design camps such as robotics. This summer, the science centre’s Amusement Park Science camp offers a fun, new way to put engineering to work in real life!  Campers discover how carnival rides and games use physical principles to create the sensation of thrills and chills-then hang on for a great ride as campers build and test their own! For ages 8-12.

For details on the new Amusement Park Science Camp and Science East’s other summer camp offerings for different age groups, click here: http://www.scienceeast.nb.ca/assets/Summer%20Camps%202013.pdf.

Science East is co-hosting the Gagetown TekFest with Gagetown School and would like to extend an invitation to Women in ICT. We are inviting groups and organizations to participate with an interactive booth for the evening.

The Gagetown TekFest will take place on Thursday, May 10th, 2012. This will be a night of hands-on fun and excitement for local families while learning about some different areas of science and technology. Exhibitors are encouraged to provide hands-on displays or specimens (feel free to contact us if you need help with ideas for your display). The goal is to give youth the chance to handle and see the different tools and technologies used by professionals within their area. (more…)
