Two years have past since the NB Women in ICT group started. Over lunch at that first event we heard from Larry Sampson of the NBIT Council about the challenges and opportunities facing our province and the ICT sector specifically.  This event is our opportunity to learn about what’s been happened over those 2 years and take a look ahead at what is coming.

Where: Corked Wine Bar, 83 Regent St, Fredericton
When: Thursday, November 8th at Corked. 4:30 – 7:00.
If you are interested in joining us for a drink please let us know: http://doodle.com/da6y4m94bmb2z3fg

Speaker: Larry Sampson, CEO New Brunswick Information Technology Council

Larry, will share with us what the council is working on, its accomplishments to date and what their plans are for the near future. Learn how the ICT sector is part of the solution in helping us build a stronger provincial economy. One of the challenges for the sector is the availability of ICT talent. You will learn about the council’s plans to address these issues and hear how NB Women in ICT can play a part in this.

Also at this event, the NB Women in ICT leadership group will share with you the work undertaken over the past few months in helping us define our vision and present to you our first draft for a Strategy for our group. This will be your first of many opportunities to help us set priorities for our group and work with everyone on executing on those strategies.
